Lonnie Hamm, 81, a Catlin barber for 30 years, died early today (Dec 5, 1962) at an out-of-town hospital where he was a patient for 15 months. A resident of 106 W. Davis St in Catlin, he was a farmer in the Waynetown Ind area before moving to Catlin. Born in Yeddo, Indiana April 6, 1881, he was the son of Felix and Martha Keller Hamm. On April 13, 1902, he married the former Mary M. Harper in Waynetown. She was killed in an auto accident Oct 3, 1924. He married the former Mildred Cole on Dec 25, 1949 and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Douglas of Crawfordsville, Indiana a son Harold Hamm of St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren in addition to a niece and nephew. A son and two brothers preceded him in death. He was an avid sports fan and was known for his hobby of collecting antiques. Mr. Hamm was a member of the Catlin Methodist church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Berhalter Funeral Home, Danville with Rev. Clarence G. Hall in charge. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
